The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is hunting down at least two suspects who have been identified in the killing of lawyer Joey Luis Wee in Cebu City.

The NBI identified in a statement on Tuesday, Dec. 15, the two at-large suspects as John Raymond Cabanto Suarez and Randy Benito Palparan.

“Based on the CCTV (closed circuit television) footages gathered by the NBI and upon proper coordination with the surviving spouse, and testimonies of witnesses at the crime scene, the NBI operatives were able to immediately identify the physical appearance of the perpetrators of the crime including all the vehicles that were used in casing and eventual the killing of Atty. Wee,” the NBI said.

Wee was killed last Nov. 23 while walking to his office in Kasambagan, Cebu City.

The lawyer was rushed to the hospital by his wife, lawyer Marilevi Lim Wee, and law firm associates but succumbed to two gunshot wounds.
