Looks like our favorite canned sardines is having a fashionable makeover

Artisanal social enterprise Zarah Juan teases an upcoming collaboration project with canned sardines brand Ligo through a series of cryptic posts. 

Famous for her works celebrating Filipino heritage, designer Zarah Juan sure knows how to inject culture, humor, and causes in her designs. 

In case you missed it, her Jeepney tote bag helped displaced jeepney drivers during the pandemic with the brand's "Biyaheng Pag-asa" program. Another is the "Balik-Buhay" fundraising initiative, which provided assistance to Camarines Sur's artisan community as they rise from the typhoon's aftermath.

This time the brand is dropping creative clues on social media about its latest collaboration. Though nothing is confirmed yet, it is pretty undeniable that Ligo is a part of it. 

So, is it a new label design?

A bag inspired by the can?

We don't know yet. With the parties involved being pretty tight-lipped about it, we know it will be something to look forward to. Just like in the past, it is sure to be no short of Filipino culture and artistry.
