11 women rescued from 2 spas offering sex in QC

Eleven women, including a minor, working in two spas allegedly offering sexual services in Quezon City were rescued by the National Bureau of Investigation last Wednesday.

Five persons allegedly involved in the operations of Heart of Siam and Spa Aichi were arrested.

NBI officer-in-charge Director Eric Distor said the operations were conducted by the NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division (NBI-AHTRAD) along with the Department of Justice Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (DoJ-IACAT).

Two were arrested at the Heart of Siam – a man identified as Robert Que Garcia and a male minor who has been turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Arrested at Spa Aichi were identified as Liecel Capicio, Miguel Diwata, and Jay Baldomar.

Following the operation, those arrested were presented for inquest before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violating Republic Act 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 as amended by RA 10364, the Expanded Trafficking in Persons Act.

The NBI said “the operation stemmed from information that an establishment has been operating and offering minor girls for sexual exploitation.”

Eleven females, including a minor, were rescued from Spa Aichi, and were turned over to the DSWD.

The NBI said Heart of Siam offers sexual services ranging from P1,500 up to P7,000 but patrons can only enter the establishment through online booking on the website manilatonight.com.

Spa Aichi offers sexual services ranging from P1,500 to P2,000.
