Andrea Torres opens up on breakup with Derek Ramsay

Just a few hours after Derek Ramsay's revelation that they have indeed broken up as speculated, Andrea Torres released a short statement about the whole issue through her mother network, GMA.

In it, she verified the split but disappointed fans by refusing to give further details.

She explained, "I'd rather keep the details private as I want to give the breakup the same amount of respect that I had for the relationship. I think you all know how much it meant to me. I hope you understand."

As to Derek, she said, "I will always wish him and his family well.”

Derek confirmed that they are no longer an item via his Instagram account as a reply to a comment made by a netizen.

In it, he insisted there was no third party involved in the breakup.

Note that gossip about the split started with both removing all of their photos together on their respective Instagram accounts.

Adding to the proverbial flame is Andrea's decision to subsequently unfollow Derek on Instagram.

The whole issue wasn't a surprise to many, particularly those who believed early on that Andrea would simply end up just like many others who were romantically linked to Derek, including Angelica Panganiban, Solenn Heussaff and Cristine Reyes.

This, not even when rumors about Andrea was rumored to be already living with Derek in his newly-built mansion.
