Halloween is not canceled this year. It's the creepiest yet. Move aside, plague doctor costume! Nothing is more symbolic of the scariest Halloween in years than our masks and our face shields and the invisible six-foot pole we have to keep between us and the next person. But it's also time to walk on the less scary, fun, and wild side of Halloween. Bring out the kapres and the dwendes and the tikbalang and the mangkukulam. As Covid-19 is showing us, these fantastic creatures of our wild imaginings are way less scary than we've always thought they are.
This week in Panorama, as we count down to All Hallows' Eve, let's gather around the online campfire and tell ghost stories. We've collected a few tales of horror, fiction and non-fiction, to bring a shiver down your spine.
What are you most afraid of?
Trick or treat!
