The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) on Friday, Sept. 8, warned job applicants against bribing its employees.
“In our continuing effort to address possible corruption at BuCor, all BuCor applicants are advised to refrain from paying or giving monetary consideration in any amount to any BuCor employees in exchange for a position applied for at the Bureau of Corrections,” read the notice of BuCor Deputy Director General for Administration Milfredo Melegrito.
“Applicants who commit such offense shall be automatically disqualified and blacklisted for any position at the BuCor,” he warned.
Melegrito also told BuCor employees “not to engage in such activity and violation.”
The deputy director warned that BuCor employees who will do so “shall be dealt with accordingly.”
Melegrtio also urged the public to send information or complaints concerning such matters to the BuCor.
