New Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan has implemented another round of reorganization effective September 9.
Cascolan also named Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo as replacement of Police Regional Office 7 (Central Visayas) director Brig. Gen. Albert Ferro who was, in turn, appointed as the head of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Southern Luzon.
Estomo’s position as director of the Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) will be taken over by Brig. Gen. Joseph Ulysses Gohel.
Brig. Gen. Pascual Muñoz was named as the new director of the Police Regional Office 4B that covers Mindoro Oriental and Occidental, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan.
Col. Ysmael Yu will replace Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac as the head of the PNP-Public Information Office and at the same time spokesman of the organization. Banac will head the PNP Training Service.
Brig. Gen. Edgar Monsalve will be the new director of the PNP-Intelligence Group while Brig. Gen. Benjamin Acorda was moved to the Directorate for Intelligence. Col. Celso Bael was also designated as executive officer of the Directorate for Intelligence.
Brig. Gen. Sterling Blanco was named as the new deputy director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), replacing Brig. Gen. Rhoderick Armamento who was assigned to the Office of the Chief PNP.
Brig. Gen. Alex Sintin Jr. was named acting director of the National Police Training Institute (NPTI) while Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg was designated as Director Logistic Support Service (LSS).
