“Back to work-from-home ang DOJ proper, with rotating skeleton staff to man the frontline and other key offices,” Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Guevarra said offices of the DOJ’s National Prosecution Service (NPS) will also continue to operate in areas under MECQ but only "via teleconferencing and other electronic means.”

“Filing of complaints, affidavits, and other papers may be done online,” he added.

President Duterte ordered the return to MECQ of Metro Manila, Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal from Aug. 4 to 18, acting on the call of the medical community to impose stricter quarantine measures due to the rising number of cases of persons with the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
