The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) announced on Wednesday, July 8, that it is now allowing the online registration of new lawyers.
“Effective immediately, the IBP national office will adopt an online process for the membership registration of the new lawyers,” read its announcement.
With this, the IBP advised new lawyers to pay their dues and deposit the payments to the IBP’s Banco De Oro account.
The annual dues include this year’s P2,000 membership fee, P200 building fund contribution, P200 courier fee, and P20 transaction fee.
The IBP advised new lawyers to go to the link bit.ly/IBPOnlineMembershipRegistration to download the membership forms.
The announcement for the online registration was made after the Supreme Court (SC) held last June 25 the online oath taking of the passers of the 2019 bar examinations.
It was the first time an online oath taking was held for bar passers due to the ongoing pandemic caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
There were 2,103 bar passers who participated in the online oath taking.
