I miss going out (wow, lakas maka-party girl!). Since the country was put under quarantine in March, I’ve rarely gone outside and most of my errands are either for essentials or for work, never for leisure. (Bawal muna lumandi-landi!)
One of the things I miss the most is watching live entertainment be it intimate lounge performances or concerts or musical shows (parang may kultura ako, ha!). At the rate we are going, it might take a few more months before we can go to music halls, bars and concert venues to watch live performances. (Bawal lumabas! Bawal lumabas! Mag-comply ka!)
Good thing, Joee Guilas of Resorts World Manila (RWM) introduced me to “The L.O.V.E Project,” an online marketplace platform for professional musicians, theater actors, singers, and performers where I can check-out and book virtual entertainment on its Facebook Page. (Ay, pwede ang booking!)
“We initiated this to help regular RWM performers and other partner artists to continue their livelihood despite the current situation It is part of the integrated resort’s continuing effort to pursue the advocacy of promoting the best of the Philippines, principally through arts and culture,” Joee explains. (Kasama ba ako sa line up ng mga the best?!)
L.O.V.E stands for Live On-request Virtual Entertainment, meaning we can now enjoy live performances in the comforts of our home. One thing that caught my attention is how personalized this experience is. “Anyone can book an artist from the roster of performers, and have a direct and exclusive access to their performance via livestream,” he said. (Ay, may ganon mars! Basta dapat di pupugak pugak ang internet connection mo!)
Current roster of artists include Singing Sensation’s Cris Pastor, Charlotte Fergusson, and Jasmine Fitzgerald, El Calle regulars Jay Kent, Hans Dimayuga, Rox Puno, Grand Bar and Lounge performers Jon Joven and James Uy, ballet dancer Julafer Fergarido, vlogger and singer Julia Serad, pop-rock artist RJ Jimenez, and many more. (Baka pwede ako maisingit sa many more!)
