Two alleged illegal drug peddlers in Novaliches, Quezon City were killed after engaging in a shootout with the police during a drug bust early Saturday morning.

Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel, director of the Quezon City Police District, identified the fatalities only as certain "Michael," believed to be in his late 30s, wearing yellow shirt and white shorts, and Amado Millete, 40, of Barangay Sta. Monica, Novaliches.
It appears that members of Novaliches Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a drug sting against the two inside Geronimo Compound in Barangay Sta. Monica at around 11:30 p.m.
Report showed that an undercover policeman set a drug deal with the suspects. After the transaction, the men sensed the presence of other policemen and that the buyer was an undercover operative, prompting them to drew their firearms and fired at the operatives but missed.
Meanwhile, police officers operatives retaliated resulting in the death of the suspects.
The duo died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds in their bodies.
The police were able to confiscate 18 sachets of suspected shabu, a .45 caliber pistol Armscor, a caliber .38 revolver, digital weighing scale, and the marked money.
