Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018 lineup

Eight films have been selected by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and these were formally announced at the recent Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP). Rex Entertainment, “Madilim Ang Gabi” directed by Adolfo Alix Jr., under Deus Lux Mea Films, “Pinay Beauty” directed by Jay Abello under Quantum Films and Epic Media. Somes under Strawdog Studio Productions. The 2018 lineup which will be screened in all cinemas nationwide from Aug. 15 to 21. In addition to the main entries, PPP will showcase the Special Feature Section. These include films from local independent film festival in 2017, as “High Tide” directed by Tara Illenberger from TOFARM, “Paki” directed by Giancarlo Abrahan from CinemaOne Originals, and “Tu Pug Imatuy” directed by Arnel Barbarona from Sinag Maynila. The lineup has “Alas-Nuebe Ng Tanghali” directed by Enalyn Legaspi, “Anonymous Student Vlog” directed by Christian Babista, “Bahay-Bahayan” directed by Bryan Spencer Reyes, “Bato Bato Pik” directed by Ardinian Jaq Sanque and Lorys Plaza, “Isang Tula Para Sa Nawawala” directed by Rodemille Singh, “Koleksyong Pamalo” directed by Len Frago, “Masaya Ako” directed by Daniel Edwin Delgado and Tiara Angelia Nicolas, and “Runner” directed by Levi Jun Miscala. Launched in August 2017, PPP is a seven-day exclusive screening of quality genre Filipino films in all cinemas nationwide in line with the Buwan ng Wika. Among PPP’s next events are the PPP Kick-Off on Aug. 3, PPP Pista at the Park Grand Fans Day and All-Star Caravan on Aug. 11 at the Quezon City Circle, the PPP Opening Night on Aug. 15, and the PPP Thanksgiving Night on Aug. 19, 2018.
