On Monday afternoon, Cam, a former jueteng whistleblower and an appointee of President Rodrigo Duterte, filed her complaint before the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office, four days after she reported supposed threats on her life to the Mandaluyong police.
Cam said she started receiving threats after she exposed the alleged lavish Christmas party of the PCSO held at a five-star hotel in the same city.
On December 29, Balutan, who was accompanied by five men believed to be his staff, reportedly went to the office of Cam. One of her staff heard one of the men with Balutan say: “Where is Sandra Cam’s office, I will blast it.”
The staffers of Cam—Romilda Amago, 61, and Karen Garcia, 29—witnessed the incident.
Cam, in an interview, added that when she took a vacation in her hometown during the holidays, she received a call from a man who just kept laughing and laughing “as if he was a demon.”
She said that she does not know to whom the number belongs. Her security has been tightened after said incidents.
