Barangay chief injured after shot by riding-in-tandem in PasayÂ
A barangay captain was injured after he was shot by unidentified gunmen while he was with his son in Pasay City on Wednesday evening.
Police identified the victim as Reynaldo Flores, 57, chief of Barangay 157, Pasay City.
Investigation showed that Flores was in front of a bank in Barangay 10 around 7 p.m. while he was with his son when the incident happened.
Police said that two men onboard a motorcycle shot him once before immediately fleeing the crime scene.
Flores was immediately rushed to hospital after sustaining gunshot wound due to slug that entered in his lower left ear and exited at his right upper lip.
Police are now hunting down the suspect as an investigation is ongoing. (Joseph Almer Pedrajas)
Vendor stabbed to death in ParañaqueÂ
A vendor died after he was stabbed by his neighbor when the two got into a heated argument in Parañaque City on Tuesday.
The victim was identified by police as Alinor Undaya, 26, resident in Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City.
Police identified the suspect as Ibrahim Amuran Macapodi who remains at large.
Investigation showed that the incident was reported to police at around 10:28 in the morning in Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City
Police said that the victim and suspect's wives are sisters, and all of them are living in the same house, occupying the same room. Their argument was sparked by an old grudge by the suspect against the victim who was causing noise every night.
This causes the suspect's son to have difficulty sleeping at night. Investigators said that at 6 in the morning the victim went up to their room and while he was sleeping, the suspect suddenly stabbed him on the chest using a pair of scissors.
After the incident, the suspect immediately fled towards unknown directions along with the weapon used while the wounded victim was rushed to Ospital ng Maynila, wherein he was declared dead on arrival at about 11:17 in the morning.
The victim's body was moved to the Baclaran Mosque for safekeeping. (Dhel Nazario)
