Bb. Pilipinas candidate explains her answer in Q&A portion

Binibining Pilipinas candidate Sandra Lemonon has become the talk of the town after honestly declaring that she has no idea about the government’s infrastructure program.

Among the top 15 finalists, Sandra was asked during the coronation night’s Q&A portion for her insights on the Duterte administration’s “Build, Build, Build" program by Megawide Construction Corp. chairman Edgar Saavedra.
Lemonon answered: "Actually you know what, I studied so much for this Q&A, but sadly that's something that I don't know really much about. But at least I'm here trying to answer a good question. Thank you."
In an interview, Lemonon claimed that she prepared vastly for Binibining Pilipinas. However, she said that she was shocked when she heard the question, adding that she was expecting questions on current issues such as divorce, abortion, women’s right, violence, Marawi, and Dengvaxia.
Aside from the shock she felt, she revealed that she misheard the judge Saavedra’s question, saying that instead of ‘build’ she heard it as ‘bills’.
“But at that moment, I really was hoping for him to elaborate. But now when I think about it, it was not his fault at all. It was not. I just wished I was knowledgeable about this question," she added.
Lemonon said that she would have responded that she’s in favor of building more infrastructures as ‘ they contribute to making the economy better.
After the coronation night, Lemonon disclosed that she had feared negative comments that she actually avoided checking her phone for a day.
Despite all that , Lemonon was surprised to receive an outpouring of support not only from loyal fans but from new friends.
Her fans, dubbed as ‘Lemonades’, showed their admiration for her honesty, claiming she deserved a crown.
Amidst what happened, Lemonon stayed optimistic. In fact, she already confirmed on a Twitter post saying she will make a comeback: “Lemonades, I am coming back.”
Lemonon fell short of winning one of the six crowns and only finished in the top 15.
She may not have won a crown, but she has certainly won the people's heart and admiration for her honesty during the Q & A.
