Internet users reported on Monday that Google drive, including Google Docs applications, went down with millions of users worldwide struggling to access the word processing app.
According to the Independent co.uk, British news online publisher, the word processing app failed to access for users across the world at around 6:30 p.m. GMT with most complaining that the system had detected “unusual traffic.”
The G suite social media account, a suite of tools that offers solutions for email, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation decks, and other services, acknowledged the disruption and said that “Google Drive is currently experiencing a service disruption. Please stay tuned for updates or follow here: http://goo.gl/NOZTZ .”
Google Drive users brought their complaints to social media. Google Drive social media account has begun acknowledging the issue. “@googledrive Looks like I'm not the only one having issues with my Google Drive. Can't access my Docs or Sheets so far. Tried my usual Google Chrome, as well as an Incognito window. Having the same issue,” one Google Drive user said on Twitter.Google Drive is currently experiencing a service disruption. Thanks for your patience,” the Google Drive social media account replied. Meanwhile, the G Suite said on social media a few hours later that the “Google Drive is all clear. According to a report, Google Drive serves more than a billion users across the world, while storing millions of files.
