The Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation, a publicly held corporation in the Philippines which publishes in print and online a daily broadsheet, tabloid-sized newspapers and various magazines in English, Filipino and the vernaculars, sees journalism as an instrument for the establishment of a just and fair society of citizens who love their country, work in unity for the common good of the people, advocate the interests of the people above the self, and through this view, contribute to the creation of a society of free citizens enjoying the prosperity and progress equitably.
MISSION
In contributing to the pursuit of this vision of a just and prosperous society, the mission of the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation through its publications is to provide Filipinos in their country and Overseas Filipino Workers and residents accurate and objective news of the Philippines, without embellishment or advocacy of persons and parties but only in ideas. In doing so, it will strive to be positive rather than negative in its coverage and interpretation, build-up rather than destroy, encourage rather than take a stand of negative criticism and be courageous in reporting abuses and dishonesty, so that the medium will become an instrument of construction rather than destruction, without neglecting its critical function in society.

Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation (MB) was founded as the Daily Bulletin on February 2, 1900 for the purpose of engaging in the publishing business. The Company was incorporated on June 12, 1912 as Bulletin Publishing Company and re-incorporated on September 25, 1959 as Bulletin Publishing Corporation. On June 22, 1989, the corporate name was amended to the present one.
Since then, the company has evolved into a multimedia entity, offering products, brands, and services across multiple platforms, including newspapers, tabloids, magazines, social media accounts, email newsletters, events, podcasts, and video.
The Manila Bulletin, one of the leading newspapers in the country, is published seven days a week, along with the tabloid newspaper Tempo. Balita, formerly a tabloid, is exclusively published online in Filipino.
The Company also publishes full-color magazines catering to various sectors of the reading public, such as Agriculture, Animal Scene, and Wedding Essentials. Additionally, it publishes vernacular magazines like Liwayway in Tagalog, Bisaya in Cebuano, and Bannawag in Ilocano, which highlight cultural development and stories from different provinces as well as national news of regional interest.
The Company is also noted for its annual events, the Sustainability Forum and the Newsmakers Awards, as well as its daily newsletter, The Morning Bulletin.

Executive Committee
The role and responsibilities of the Executive Committee are established by the Board of Directors. The executive committee constitutes the Company’s top management. The Executive Committee is authorized by the Board to dispose properties acquired through exchange deals and barter agreements.
Corporate Governance Committee
The Corporate Governance Committee assists the Board of Directors in ensuring the proper observance by the Company of the principles of fairness, accountability and transparency that constitute the pillars of best practices on good observance.
Audit Committee
The Audit Committee Charter sets out the policies, responsibilities and authority of the Company’s Audit Committee and the procedures that shall guide its’ functions, including the rules governing the Committee.

The Risk Oversight Committee assists the Board of Directors in ensuring that there is an effective and integrated risk management process in place.
Related Party Transactions Committee
The Related Party Transactions Committee sees to it that transactions between related parties are accounted for at arm’s length or on terms similar to those afforded to non-related entities in an economically comparable market advances to/from related parties are stated at fair market value, and related party transactions are evaluated by the Audit Committee (or any functional equivalent committee/department of the Company) and presented to the Board for approval.
The Company's Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives
Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation actively upholds its commitment to social responsibility through initiatives that support communities, promote wellness, and champion Filipino creativity.
The Company extends assistance to victims of typhoons and other calamities by providing food, clothing, and other essentials through the Philippine Red Cross. It also organizes fund drives in the form of cash, food, and clothing donations, which are likewise turned over to the Philippine Red Cross to aid in relief and recovery efforts.
To promote health, well-being, and community solidarity, the Company supports various charity-driven fun runs organized by different groups.
At the same time, the Company continues to nurture creativity and inspire the youth through Sketchfest, the country’s longest-running on-the-spot poster-making contest, which has expanded beyond Manila to Cebu and Davao. Complementing this, its signature project Hatch provides opportunities for established artists to showcase their talent, giving them a meaningful platform to shine and share their artistry with a wider audience.
