A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Zamboanga del Norte at 11:41 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, just hours after a 5.8-magnitude tremor hit Southern Leyte, based on a report from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
