QCPD investigates death of actor Ronaldo Valdez

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Monday, Dec. 18, said that it is currently investigating the cause of death of actor Ronaldo Valdez who reportedly died in his house in the city on Sunday, Dec. 17.

"As of today, QCPD is currently conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the cause of the death of Mr. James Gibbs aka Ronaldo Valdez. We understand the importance of this matter; hence, we are working diligently to gather all relevant facts and evidence," the local police said in a statement.

The death of James Ronald Dulaca Gibbs of Ronaldo Valdez, 76, was confirmed by the city police and his son, singer and actor, Jano Gibbs.

The city police also extended condolences to the bereaved family of the actor.

The cause of his death has yet to be disclosed.

"We assure the public that any findings from the investigation will be officially released," the QCPD said

"We also urge the public to refrain from concluding and respect the family's request to grieve in private," it added.
