"We commend the tri-media because through these debates shown, heard and read, it helps working people know the candidates better," said TUCP President Raymond Mendoza.
Mendoza said that the debates help workers and their families in making "intelligent choices and wise decision in exercising their right to vote."
“Workers need to know more beyond what the candidates say and project themselves to be through the self-serving posters and television ads," said Mendoza.
"Through these media debates, we will be able to know kung sino ang genuine o peke (who are genuine and fake) among the candidates," he added.
Mendoza said that they are now conducting a survey, who among the candidates, will they support this coming elections.
“The TUCP have started the process of our own survey in determining senatorial bets that the labor center would endorse and support in the May elections," he said.
"These debates on TV and on social media really help us a lot in our survey being conducted,” he added.
Mendoza said the TUCP is looking for 12 senatorial candidates by surveying affiliated unions in manufacturing, services and agriculture sectors nationwide.
Mendoza said that the twelve senatorial candidates, who they will support, will be announced a week before the May 13 elections. #MatalinongBoto2019
