Actor-singer VJ Mendoza drops MV of debut single 'Mahal Kita'

Released under Insight Music, the song is set to dazzle fans once again with its music video, promising an immersive visual experience to complement the beautiful lyrics and catchy melody.

Available on all streaming platforms, “Mahal Kita” was composed by the late Macky Alca, and has already garnered critical acclaim, winning the prestigious title of “Best Song” at the first Puregold CinePanalo Awards this 2024.

A versatile talent known for his remarkable performances on both the silver screen and the stage, VJ Mendoza is excited to transition into the realm of music, bringing his unique flair and passion to the forefront. Known for his acting roles in “Road to Happy” (2024), where he was nominated as Best Actor in the Puregold CinePanalo Awards; “Can’t Buy Me Love” (2023); “Love vs Stars” (2021); and “Last Fool Show” (2019), Mendoza is ready to add another dimension to his artistic journey with the heartfelt melodies of ''Mahal Kita.''

Reflecting on the creative process behind ''Mahal Kita,'' Mendoza pays tribute to his friend and collaborator Macky Alca, whose untimely passing imbued the project with profound significance.

''The biggest struggle was the weight of carrying on his musical legacy and making it a success,'' Mendoza reveals. ''When the track won Best Song at the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, it took all of my restraint not to cry on stage because I really wanted to honor my friend's memory.''

With ''Mahal Kita,'' Mendoza aims to evoke a sense of joy and nostalgia, crafting a melody that serves as the perfect soundtrack for life's most memorable moments. ''You don't have to be in love to enjoy this song, but you can definitely fall in love with it,'' he says.

Looking ahead, Mendoza remains humbled by the overwhelming support from fans and industry peers alike. "I'm just grateful to Insight 360, headed by Director Chris Cahilig, for believing in this song," he expresses. "This is truly a dream come true for me.''
