Affecting love, infecting disease

It’s getting to be complicated the love story among Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Tom Rodriguez and LJ Reyes on the GMA series “The Cure.” Aside from the growing number of the infected, viewers are now more affected by the love story of the lead stars playing Charity, Greg, Darius and Katrina. Mark Herras and LJ Reyes Mark Herras and LJ Reyes Darius is now falling for Charity, thinking that her husband Greg is already dead. LJKatrina, on the other hand, is trying her best to hide from Greg the fact that Charity is still alive. Meanwhile, will Elizabeth (Jaclyn Jose) find the cure for the epidemic afflicting their community? “The Cure” airs weeknights on GMA Telebabad.

Band-orchestra extravaganza The Cultural Center of the Philippines is hosting the “Banda Rito, Banda Roon,” the Band and Orchestra Festival 2018 on July 20 to 22. Over 700 young musical artists from 14 groups across the country are slated to perform. There will be three main events: the Gala Concert of Orchestras on July 20 at the Main Theater; the Youth Symphonic Band Concert I, July 21 at the Little Theater; and the Youth Symphonic Band Concert II, July 22 also at the Little Theater. Parallel events are the Open Air Brass Exhibition on July 21 at the CCP Ramp, and the Music Fair from July 20 to 21 at the Little Theater Lobby. The participating groups in the festival are the Lasallian Youth Orchestra, the San Beda College Alabang Symphony Orchestra, the Seven Spirit Kids Orchestra (Cebu), and the Manila Symphony Junior. There will also be small brass ensemble performances at the Little Theater Lobby during the Music Fair on July 20 to 21.
