Daughter appeals to social media to return mother's stolen urn

TACLOBAN CITY - A woman appealed to social media after the cremains of her mother were stolen from a cemetery in Borongan, Eastern Samar.Marizo Tejero took to social media her frustration that the marble urn of her mother was stolen from Campesao New Cemetery Wednesday (September 15).

She narrated that the glass cover was already broken when she arrived at the cemetery.

Marizo Terejo was surprised to see her mother's urn missing from a cemetery in Borongan City, Wednesday (Sept. 16). She remains optimistic that the cremains of her mother will be returned soon.

She added that they do not lock the mausoleum because there are friends of his son who come to visit.

"Mother, I will not blame those people who did this to you because I know you will forgive them...I hope God will enlighten them because you do not deserve this," she said.

Tejero said she already informed the village officials of the incident, adding that she hopes it will not happen to others.

It has only been a year since her mother passed away in August.
