Look: Urban harvest

Residents of Tondo, Manila harvest vegetables for P30 a kilo from the "Buhay sa Gulay" (Life in Vegetables) urban garden project of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in partnership with the Don Bosco Parish, and the City of Manila that opened to the public for the first time Sunday (January 3). 

Six agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Cavite volunteered to teach the resident-beneficiaries of Tondo the proper way of urban vegetable farming last October on the once idle 8,000-square meter football field inside the St. John Don Bosco Parish compound. (ALI VICOY/MANILA BULLETIN)
