Grassfire hits San Mateo, Rizal

A wild grassfire hit a hilly area of San Mateo, Rizal on Thursday night, April 3.

The fire was reported during a Facebook Live by netizen JAYEful Day that was taken at around 6:30 p.m. It was eventually extinguished by responding firefighters.

According to residents near the area, the grassfire may have been caused by the dry ground.

No one was reported hurt during the blaze.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
