SC to Bar passers: Get clearance online before May 2 oath-taking

The Supreme Court (SC) has advised the 8,241 passers in the 2020-2021 online bar examinations to get their clearance from its Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) before their oath-taking on May 2.
It said both the clearance and individual bar results can be obtained online.
Bar passers will receive an electronic mail (e-mail) from the OBC through their registered e-mail addresses. The OBC’s e-mail addresses are [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected].
The SC said that “queries concerning the clearance procedure should be addressed to the OBC Helpdesk at [email protected] or through telephone (02)85529690.
“Those who are given clearances shall print the e-mail sent by the OBC and present it during the oath-taking ceremony as proof of their clearance,” it said.
But for those who are not given clearance, they may file their petitions to take the lawyer’s oath with the required documents.
