Wilcon Depot unveils 43rd store in Silang, Cavite

By Jelliffe Louise S. Dava Wilcon Depot opened its 43rd store in Cavite last May 4. It is located at Purok 9, Brgy. Lalaan II in Silang City, Cavite. The newly opened store has an area of over 12,000 sqm that can accommodate thousands of local and international building material brands.  It has a wide array of quality home building materials ranging from tiles, sanitary wares, plumbing fixture, furniture, home interior products, building materials, hardware and electrical tools, appliances and other DIY items arranged in an organized and clutter-free manner inside an air-conditioned store. Wilcon also offers many services that provide customers a convenient shopping experience such as free parking spaces, reliable delivery service, and tile cutting service. Inside the store is a Design Hub section that allows customers to create their interior design style through computer software which can actually give a cost estimate of the chosen products. Customers can also avail of the Wilcon Loyalty Card for free to enjoy promo offerings. The company sees the big potential of Silang as its vast land area is suitable not only for agriculture but also for real estate and high-end leisure development. As Wilcon aims to have 67 operating stores by 2021, eight more stores will be open this year. It will be located in Naga, Zamboanga, Lipa in Batangas, Tayabas in Quezon Province, Davao, GenSan, Puerto Princesa and Iloilo City. The ribbon cutting ceremony was led by Wilcon Founder and Chairman Emeritus William T. Belo together with Wilcon President and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cincochan, SEVP-COO Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, and Wilcon EVP-Chief Product Officer Careen Belo. Present also in the event were suppliers and the local government officials of Silang, Cavite. According to Belo-Cincochan, Wilcon has been a reliable partner and excellent source of innovative solutions for the homes and buildings of Filipino communities for over 40 years.
