Mr. Gay World finalist-businessman Wilbert Tolentino put an end to speculations over the real score between him and transgender model Mader Sitang of Thailand.

In his first meeting with members of the press after his failed relationship with Mader Sitang as talent manager held at Club One 690 in Quezon City, Tolentino says: "Actually, isa po ako sa nabiktima ng fake news. Bago ko po siya nakatrabaho, ito na po yung profile na kumakalat sa Internet po. Lawyer daw po siya, tumutulong daw siya sa Yolanda victims. So we thought we are on the same boat at kinuha ko siya para parehas kaming makatulong. Nagkamali rin po ako. Marami talagang namamatay sa maling akala."
(I was a victim of fake news. Before I worked with Mader Sitang, her profile on the Internet says she is a lawyer and she helped Yolanda victims. So we thought we were on the same boat and I offered to manage her so that both of us can help. But I was wrong.)
Tolentino, who acted as Mader Sitang's talent manager during her trip to Manila recently, revealed that Mader Sitang refused to honor the contract he presented to her in Thailand. It would be recalled that Tolentino posted on Facebook his initial statement on the alleged refusal of Mader Sitang to honor the contract.
Mader Sitang of Thailand went viral for her signature hair-flipping dance moves.
"By now, you must have already known that the contract signing between me and Mader Sitang in Bangkok did not materialize because of the latter's refusal to honor such agreement. All of you can attest that I have always been fair and transparent in all my dealings," Tolentino says.
Despite this, Tolentino says that he will continue to help the needy. "Well established na po ako. Actually quota na ako sa buhay ko. Itong panahon na ito ay for sharing and giving na lang po ako." (I have already established myself in business and pageantry. I already have what I need in life. I am focused these days on helping the poor and the needy).
Last October 19, Tolentino, who is also the founder of Web Marketers Specialist Association of the Philippines, Inc. (WEMSAP), announced that he would be the manager of Mader Sitang for a series of shows in Europe in December. He even launched a perfume in her honor and even planned a movie that will feature the internet sensation and ace comedian Vice Ganda.
Tolentino also says that he will launch the UBC Shopping Online Store which also aims to help the poor.
"Every time you go shopping at UBC Online Store, you are extending a helping hand to the needy. Proceeds from sales will go to chosen charitable institution or cause-oriented projects," the LGBTC influencer also said.
More than a one-stop shop, it will also showcase quality yet affordable items under the categories of beauty, skin care, hair, cosmetics, fashion and accessories, electronics and gadgets.
Tolentino says that he will hire local celebrities to endorse the online shopping network. "Marami po kaming naka-line up na big names at nagre-review na rin po sila ng mga contract. Nakaka-trauma na rin po kasi yung nangyari sa akin so mas maganda po yung square but sure. We are not competing with other popular online shops because we are tied up with them." (We have lined up celebrity endorsers and we are just reviewing their contracts so that there would be no conflict).
