Intel police shot dead in Quezon City
Investigation of the Quezon City Police District identified the victim as Police Officer 3 NepthalieBuensuceso, 35, a resident of Caloocan City, and was assigned at the PNP-CIDG Intelligence Division.
According to a witness, he was inside his car parked on the corner of N. Domingo Street and Broadway Avenue in Barangay Valencia at around 6 p.m. when he saw a man wearing a black helmet and a maroon jacket riding a white Yamaha Mio motorcycle without plate number passed by in front of him.
Minutes later, he already heard gunshots nearby.
When he checked, he already saw the victim's bullet-riddled body lying on the ground.
Police said that Buensuceso was also riding his motorcycle when the suspect tailed him and repeatedly shot him after he slowed down for a turn killing him on the spot.
The suspect, who has yet to be identified, immediately fled the scene and escaped with the weapon he used.
Another witness said he was also inside his car near the place of the incident when he heard gunshots.
Because of fear, he instinctively stooped below the steering wheel and a stray bullet hit the windshield of his vehicle.
Meanwhile, a concerned citizen called up authorities of Barangay Valencia who reported the incident to the police.
Responding officers noted that the victim had multiple gunshot wounds on his body which caused his death.
Four pieces of fired bullets were recovered in the crime scene.
Authorities said that they have yet to establish the motive on the killing if it is work-related as follow-up investigation is underway. (Alexandria Dennise San Juan)
Man killed by unidentified gunman in front of chapel
A man was fatally shot by a still unidentified gunman on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 28 in front of a chapel in Malabon.
Police identified the victim as Teodorico Gallega Jr., 65, resident of Block 1, Damata Street, Letre Road, Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon City.
Investigation showed that the victim was just sitting in front of Damata Chapel at Block 1 Damata Street, Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon City when the suspect appeared carrying an unidentified type of handgun.
The suspect then shot the victim at different parts of his body, killing him instantly, and fled on foot toward an unknown location.
Police recovered a fired cartridge of .45 caliber at the crime scene.

Australian national found dead inside his office
An Australian national was found dead inside his office in a commercial building in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pasig City Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Lambros Zervas, legal age, married, businessman, and a resident of Unit 211 Building E, One Oasis Condominium in Ortigas Avenue Extension, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pasig City.
Initial police investigation revealed that the victim’s wife, Rocelyn Zervas, called witness Diosdado Gregorio who found the lifeless body of the victim covered with blood.
The wife instructed Gregorio to open the victim’s office at Unit 425 Lily Carpet Cleaning Services, Building L Commercial One Oasis Hub-A in the same area where he also resides.
The building’s security guard then sought assistance from the Police Community Precinct 6 (PCP-6) to respond to the crime scene after the witness asked him to do so.
Cursory examination showed that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds in different parts of his body and a plastic garbage bag was placed on his head.
Further, police investigation also revealed that prior to the incident, a certain Aileen Rose Acopicop went to the unit to check the victim’s office wherein she saw Kenneth Darnell Bethea, 58, an American national also residing at the same building hurriedly went out of the said unit where the victim was found dead. Condo unit owned by arrested Taiwanese national in Binondo
A condominium unit owned by the arrested Taiwanese national in Binondo last Friday was raided by joint forces from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and the Pasay City Police Wednesday.
The condominium unit located at 1550 –B was owned by Jinhao Zhang who turned out to be Chang Chin Haw, the Taiwanese national arrested in Binondo.
By virtue of the search warrant issued by Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 111 Judge Wilhelmina Jorge Waga, the police operatives went to the said unit at Breeze Residences along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City and made their search at 10 in the morning.
NCRPO Chief Regional Director Guillermo Eleazar, Southern Police District (SPD) Director Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario Jr. and Pasay City Police Chief Noel Flores personally went to place to lead the search.
Authorities were able to recover from the unit five pieces of .9mm pistol, 70 pieces of live ammuntion, and 12 pieces of .9mm magazines.
According to the NCRPO and the SPD, the suspect is an alleged member of an international syndicate involved in gun running and smuggling.
Haw was arrested last Friday after P40 million worth of illegal drugs were recovered from his hotel room as well as 20,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition (Dhel Nazario)
