The legacy of Motorola continues to live on.
The Edge 30 Pro is an excellent and straightforward phone. With 1080x2400 in a 6.7-inch screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and eight gigs of RAM, the Edge 30 Pro stands as one of the most well-specced phones out there. Battery is set at 4800mAh, rear cameras hold 50MP+50+2MP, while the front bears an impressive 60MP.

As one of the main important phone features, we had no doubts the Edge 30 Pro was able to take impressive pictures. Especially that 60MP front camera, which makes it a very strong contender in vlogging.

One of the things I’ve personally loved about Motorola phones are the gestures. If you shake a Motorola phone, or do a double chop gesture, the flashlight switches on. I have adored this feature ever since. It’s simple, in my case, I found it incredibly practical. I didn’t have to flip open my phone and do some scrolling. I didn’t have to over explain where the flashlight icon is to whoever borrowed my phone, specifically to use the flashlight. The double chop gesture is an undervalued feature. I’m aware of other phones having gestures to quickly launch apps and the flashlight, but as my ageing brain recalls, most of them involve swiping on the screen, instead of an actual gesture with the phone. This feature was the first thing I tried with the Motorola Edge 30 Pro and I was so happy to see it in action again. So happy, in fact, it seems I’ve already dedicated this much words to it.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 alone is a powerful chip and was able to run a ton of power hungry apps without any problem, which were mostly games like Genshin Impact and Pokemon Unite. The 4800mAh battery was more than enough to last me the entire day even after playing for hours and plenty more by the time I got home.
The Motorola name may not be as hyped up as it used to be back then. But with a phone like the Edge 30 Pro, this shows why the name continues to live on. Great specs and a great design. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro does deserve to be checked out.
