Burnt body of man found inside house in Samar

TACLOBAN CITY – The charred body of a 60-year-old mentally challenged man was found by his brother inside his room Wednesday in Brgy. Buenavista, San Jorge, Samar.

Police identified the victim as Arthur Bagas, a tricycle driver.

The victim’s brother was feeding his dog at the back of their house when he smelled stench.

When he went inside to check, he was terrified to see the charred body of his brother.

Because of his mental health condition, police believed Bagas could have burned himself.

The police added that the victim was also suffocated.

His body was brought to Gandara District Hospital, Gandara Samar for post mortem examination.
Police said they are conducting a thorough investigation of the incident.
