Julia Barretto's mom shows support for famous daughter: 'I am proud of you'

Marjorie Barretto has sent words of encouragement for her controversial daughter, Julia Barretto.

On Instagram, Marjorie wrote: "Dearest Jul, I LOVE you with the kind of love that you can trust. Love that you can depend on, and the kind that will protect you and never betray you."

"Maybe you need to hear this today… I am so proud of you, Juli. I am so blessed to be able to call you my child. Here we go again, back in our family bubble shutting off the noise outside. Only choosing to be grateful for the good things that is in front of us. Remember Jul, God is all knowing," she added.

Recall that Julia is making headlines lately.

This is after she opened up to broadcaster Karen Davila that she’s not on speaking terms again with her dad, Dennis Padilla.

“I just need more love from him. More love, more protection. I just feel like he should be my number one protector and that’s not really what I’m getting right now from him. So it does hurt because dapat siya yung tinatakbuhan ko, di ba? But it is sad that I can’t. So I pray for it,” Julia shared.

However, Dennis couldn't help but react to Julia's viral interview.

On Instagram, Dennis flooded his feed with his reaction posts about it.

Dennis told Julia: “Ako ang dapat takbuhan mo julia…. I defended you pero nagalit pa kayo sa akin… Sobra kayo…. Ano etong mga kwento mo kay karen??”

Meawhile, Marjorie's sister, Claudine Barretto, dipped his finger into the controversy.

On her social media account, Claudine wrote: “@dennisastig Kuya Tama na! Tumigil ka na pls! Sumusobra ka na! Maawa ka sa mga Bata.pls stop! Mag usap tayo.”
