By Liezle Basa Inigo CALASIAO,Pangasinan - An employee of the Calasiao Cockpit Arena was shot dead Sunday morning by two still unidentified gunmen. Victim Nixon Pascaran, 49, of Urbiztondo, just alighted from his vehicle and was making his way to the cockfighting venue when he was shot by the assailants who were on board a black sport utility vehicle. Pascaran was brought to Pangasinan Provincial Hospital in San Carlos City Pangasinan where he was declared dead on arrival. The police recovered a loaded firearm and several rounds of ammunition from the victim’s vehicle and spent shells and slugs from the crime scene. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the motive and perpetrators of the attack.
