Repertory Philippine holds online theater workshops

By Gabriela Baron Repertory Philippines (REP) is holding online workshops from July 6 to July 31. (Repertory Philippines) (Repertory Philippines) "Classes will be virtual, but learning will be actual! We've made sure that our online classes will give each student the full workshop experience!" REP said in a statement.
There are ongoing musical theater workshop classes for kids (ages 4 to 8), pre-teens (9-12), teens (13-16), and adults (17 and up.) REP is also offering special classes in voice and dance and movement. For aspiring costume designers, US-based multi-awarded costume designer Raven Ong is teaching costume design for children's theater musicals. "For years, REP's famous summer workshops have helped train the next generations of thespians. This year, you can take the classes online. Learn under some of REP's biggest talent in live interactive sessions. Get the full workshop experience in the comfort of your home," REP added. Registration opens today. There are 12 sessions each class. REP was founded in 1967. The theater company produces western plays -- modern and the classics. It has staged 455 productions. One of REP's recent musical productions, Les Miserables, was called "the best musical and perhaps the best musical ever in this country."
