A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Cotabato Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, which occurred at 9:03 a.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 14 kilometers southwest of Makilala, Cotabato.
The quake had a depth of 11 km, with the following registered intensities: Intensity V - Kidapawan City; Tulunan, Cotabato;
Intensity III - Bansalan and Hagonoy, Davao Del Sur
PHIVOLCS said the quake was also felt under the following instrumental Intensities: Intensity IV - Kidapawan City;
Intensity III - Malungon, Sarangani; Intensity II - Koranadal City; Tupi, South Cotabato; Intensity I - Alabel, Sarangani; Davao City
No aftershocks and damages are expected from the tremor.
