A total of 29 bedridden citizens have been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the City of Manila on Friday (April 16).

The Manila Health Department (MHD) started its home-service vaccination for bedridden citizens in the city.
"Malugod ko pong ipinababatid sainyo today (April 17), when we started yesterday (April 16) our new program, pagpapalawig ng vaccination program, ay nakapagserbisyo po ulit tayo ng 29 na mga lolo't lola natin (I am pleased to inform you today (April 17), when we started yesterday (April 16) our new program, the extension of the vaccination program, we have once again served 29 of our senior citizens)," Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said on Saturday (April 17).
"Sila po ay pinuntahan ng ating Manila Health Department. Alam ko pong physically challenged itong mga mamamayan na 'to kaya hindi sila madadala ng kanilang mga kaanak sa mga vaccination site (Our Manila Health Department went to them. I know these people are physically challenged so their relatives can't take them to vaccination sites)," he added.
Domagoso said the city health department will continue to vaccinate bedridden citizens in the following days.
Those who wish to have their elderly or bedridden loved ones vaccinated must reach out to their barangay officials to relay their request to the city government.
Patients must present their recent medical certificate, prescription of medicine, and hospital records such as discharge summary or medical abstract and surgical or pathology records.
As of April 17, a total of 74,075 individuals composed of frontline workers, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities have been vaccinated in the city.
