Bacolod City – Labor groups in Negros Occidental have launched an alliance called Negros Labor Against Contractualization to call on ending contractual employment.
Wennie Sancho, General Alliance of Workers Association (GAWA) secretary general, said five labor groups in the province will formalize the group and call on President Duterte to sign an executive order to end contractual employment.
Joining GAWA in the alliance are the Democratic Association of Labor Organization, National Congress of Unions in the Sugar Industry of the Philippines-Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (NACUSIP-TUCP), National Federation of Labor Unions-Kilusang Mayo Uno (NAFLU-KMU), and National Federation of Sugar Workers (NFSW).
