Putting your music alert level high

Music keeps my brain active while writing, and surely, many people are also into it. Trying out different headphones and speakers for my favorite tunes is always welcome, so a couple of MB TechLab's audio devices -- the Joyroom JR-T04S and the Marshall Acton Voice II -- got paired and taken to some serious spin. We were swaying to good music while doing this piece. Joyroom JR-T04S JOYROOM-JR-T04S-True-Wireless-Bilateral-Bluetooth-Earbuds-TWS-Earphonebd We are besieged by a constant flow of wireless headsets. Many of them are great and expensive. While some of them are better than good and not so expensive. Like what we have right now, the Joyroom JR-T04S. Yes, you’re looking at it and thinking that it suspiciously looks familiar. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Slip these into your ears and you’ll be hearing people whisper, “Oh, they’ve got one of them toothbrush-earbuds.” Kidding aside, you won’t actually hear anyone mutter those words because you’ll be zoned in to the audio. It’s sharp and surprisingly crisp. Of course, don’t expect exceptional sound quality that would make you see through time and space, as those from more expensive options. Joyroom has put together a stylish (albeit, borrowed style) earbuds with audio that exceeds expectations and is a bang for the buck. You’ll get a full day of standby when using these. About three hours of constant use either from music-listening or taking calls. But thankfully the case itself can charge the earbuds. Each earbud features 45mAh while the charging case itself has 500mAh. I got about four full charges before the day ended and personally, I’m satisfied with the results. For charging, you will be using the good ole classic microUSB. It takes some time to max out its 500mAh charge, so Now we got the looks and the sound out of the way, one question lingers. Is it comfortable? Are the risks of each earbud flying off my ears should I start to head bang? To answer the latter first, yes, depending on how hard you rock, and I happen to rock hard. You might be surprised the earbuds remained on my ears. I was surprised. But for the former question, is it comfortable? I found out to be yes. But the JR-T04S is made of hard plastic, and not designed with silicon earbuds as in other brands. In retrospect, the JR-T04S is pretty comfy compared to the ye olden days of earphones several years ago, which are in today’s standards, very uncomfortable. The Joyroom JR-T04S gets two thumbs up from us in the MB TechLab. If you happen to spot it somewhere, we do encourage you to check it out. Marshall Acton Voice II acton Now if you’re looking for something that could, ahem, marshal in the fun throughout the room, then we look on to Marshall Acton Voice II. What struck us with the Acton Voice II is how it looks. It’s both simply and elegant. The dark faux-leather gives it a premium look and feel, the front grills make it sophisticated. The built-in bass and treble knobs coated with gold adds to its standup look. This is a speaker you’d want to put in your living room and brag about. But why even brag about it when the Acton Voice II can speak for itself? The audio is powerful and the sound signature is impressive. The top of the Acton Voice II houses the power switch, the play and pause button, a source button, and the 3.5mm aux input. The source button is used to switch between Bluetooth and aux input, which basically means wireless and wired. Overall, the Marshall Acton Voice II is a powerhouse of a speaker. It’s classy and the option to go wired or wireless should free up some options for you on how to enjoy your music.
