Bollywood-style fun at 'Diwali Mela 2022' in PICC

"Diwali Mela 2022" was held recently by the Indian community in Manila at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) with lots of fun and Bollywood-style entertainment. Various artists performed song and dance numbers to delight the crowd while food and drinks overflowed.

Diwali is India's most important festival and is also known as the Festival of Lights. Traditionally, it is observed by lighting several candles and clay lamps to signify enlightenment and the triumph of brightness over dark, good over evil.

"Diwali Mela 2022" was organized by the Filipino Indian Commerce and Welfare Society Inc. under Manjinder James Kumar in partnership with Happy Manila Entertainment and Desi Matters Productions led by Ravinder Singh.

Kumar is a three-time recipient of the Philanthropist of the Year recognition by the prestigious Asia Leaders Award.

The team is also scheduled to mount the Holi Festival in 2023 and other important celebrations so that Indians in Manila can continue to honor their heritage and also give Filipinos a glimpse of the richness of Indian culture.
