Police BGen. Joselito Esquivel Jr., chief of Quezon City Police District (QCPD), said they will file a case of perjury against 25-year-old Mariel Roque, a resident of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. In an earlier report from QCPD-Novaliches Police Station (PS-4), Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas said Roque sought help from them the morning of June 8 and claimed that her baby was abducted. According to Roque's signed sworn statement, she was waiting for a jeepney in Novaliches Bayan when an unidentified woman approached her and allegedly hypnotized her. When she regained consciousness, she was already in Dasmariñas, Cavite and her baby was already missing prompting her to report to the police. However, Roque appeared again at the police station last Sunday and pleaded to recant her previous statement, saying it was all made-up. Roque admitted the infant was not her biological child as she had a miscarriage during her pregnancy but did not inform her husband out of fear. She also confessed that she transacted with a certain Czin Onecr through social media sometime in February 2019 and agreed to pay P16,000 in exchange of the baby. But Roque said she eventually returned the baby to Czin after the latter threatened to file charges against her if she will not pay the additional P11,000. Probers are now locating Czin to shed light on the claims of Roque as follow-up investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, a case of perjury under Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code will be filed against Roque for false reporting. (Alexandria San Juan) Motorcycle crash in Caloocan  leaves three injured Three men were injured after their motorcycles collided head-on in Caloocan City Tuesday afternoon.
