MB Daily News Update: P11-B shabu haul in Quezon

Authorities called it as “unprecedented and historic” as P11 billion worth of shabu were seized from 10 persons who were transporting the contraband in Infanta, Quezon, last Tuesday, March 15, 2022. The suspects are now in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), which pulled off the major drug operation.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is seeking the approval of a proposal to grant a total of P24 billion in wage subsidy for workers.

And in provincial news, a high-ranking leader of the New People’s Army (NPA), who had a P2.4-million bounty for his capture, and his wife were killed in a clash with government forces in Jiabong, Samar.
