The Filipina-British model went against Thailand's Dana Slosar and Taiwan's Mia Sabathy in the finale on Wednesday. Slosar was hailed as the winner of the popular modeling reality search.
In an Instagram post, Marshall congratulated Slosar and Sabathy, "And then there was 1. Congratulations @dsloz you absolutely went #BeyondLimits and I couldn’t be happier for you.
"@miasabathy what can I say we put up a good fight but we are just too good at being runners up... I’m proud of us regardless. I remember when we first met and talked about how scary it was going into another version of ‘Next Top Model’ wondering if it was possible to do as well as we had previously done on a larger scale but I’m glad we made it to the Top 3 together," she said.
The three models walk in a colorful tropical finale runway "Paradiso" in the last episode.
For the final photo challenge, they did a family portrait where they pose with their loved ones. It was photographed by mentor and judge Yu Tsai, alongside Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and the show's host Cindy Bishop.
Despite acing her shoot, the panel assessed that her runway walk was "rushed." "You were trying to go for a more commanding walk to maybe break the illusion of your sweet outfit," Bishop said referring to Marshall’s performance during the final walk.
"There's a way to have a strong walk without going fast. It's driving those feet forward, giving that sense of power in every stride --not rushing it," she added.
After the episode aired, Marshall took to Instagram to thank her family, mentors, AsNTM team, and all the Filipino fans who supported her throughout her AsNTM journey.
"Sabi ko noon, ‘Laban Pilipinas,’ and kahit hindi ako manalo ngayon, I will continue to try and represent the Philippines in the best way I can.
"Maraming maraming salamat para sa suporta n’yo I’m sorry I couldn’t bring home the title for a back-to-back win but I hope I was able to show you na pusong Pinoy ako."
"I hope I was able to represent the Philippines well and I hope to be able to see you soon...or maybe you’ll be seeing me," she continued.
"Phew! Now after that I think I deserve a break from social media."
