No issuance of voter's certification every Friday due to disinfection of Comelec offices
There will be no issuance of voter's certification every Friday as the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) main office in Intramuros, Manila as well as its field offices will be closed to the public on Fridays, starting July 3, for regular disinfection and decontamination.

Comelec spokesman James Jimenez had earlier said Comelec buildings, facilities, and office vehicles must undergo proper disinfection and decontamination to "ensure the safety of our personnel and the public we serve" amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
"In light of this, we would like to assure the public that the delivery of services will not be hampered as we do our part in preventing the further spread of the virus," he said on June 30.
The Comelec resumed the issuance of voter's certification on June 15.
The poll body said the certification may be secured in all Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), Modified GCQ, or with no community quarantine in place, as well as at the Comelec main office.
According to the poll body, the certification is free of charge for senior citizens, persons with disability (PWDs), and members of the Indigenous Peoples
(IPs) and Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs).
"It is also free for voters in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) who will secure their certification in the OEO of the
locality where they are registered," the Comelec said.
