Hundreds of airline passengers flocked to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 on Monday morning, Jan. 10, to rebook their flights that were cancelled over the weekend.
Some of them, however, attempted to take their chance with Philippine Airlines (PAL) and its sister company PalExpress which resumed some domestic flights.
Some of the airline passengers complained that they were not attended to by PAL employees but its spokesperson Cielo Villaluna, said a tent was set up to attend to the needs of their stranded passengers. She admitted that there were few employees who reported since some of them are sick.
After flights cancellation on Jan. 8 and 9, PAL resumed its domestic flights on Monday morning.
They were PR1810/1809 from Manila- Davao-Manila; PR1816/1815 Manila-Davao-Manila; PR1817/1818 Manila-Davao-Manila; PR1819/1920 Manila-Davao-Manila; PR1842/1841 Manila-Cebu-Manila; PR1854/1853 Manila-Cebu-Manila; PR1142/1141 Manila-Iloilo-Manila; PR1526/1525 Manila-Cagayan-Manila; and, PR 1850 Cebu to Manila.
Flights which remain canceled on Monday where PR2129 Manila to Bacolod; PR2783 Manila to Pagadian; PR 2037 Manila to Caticlan; PR2959 Manila to Cotobato; PR2985 Manila to Tacloban; PR2143 Manila to Iloilo; PR 2038 Manila Butuan; PR 1135 Manila to Bacolod; PR 2519 Manila to Cagayan de Oro; PR 2557 Manila to Tacloban; PR 2965 Manila to Busuanga; PR 2205 Manila to Roxas; and, PR 2861 Manila to Cebu.
PAL and Cebu Pacific canceled over 100 domestic flights last week January 8 and 9 due to lack of manpower.
