Mother discovers son's bride is her long-lost daughter on wedding day

A wedding in China turned into a family reunion after the mother of the groom discovered that her soon-to-be daughter-in-law was in fact her long-lost biological daughter.

The mother had lost her newborn daughter on the side of the road more than 20 years ago.

The strange reunion happened when the mother of the groom saw the bride's birthmark located on her hand which was similar to her long lost daughter, according to a report by China's Oriental Daily.

The mother then immediately asked the bride's parents if theirÂ daughter had been adopted more than 20 years ago after seeing the mark.

The bride's family was shocked by the question as the adoption was being kept as a family secret.

The family then confirmed they had found a baby girl on the roadside 20 years ago and took her to bring up as their own.

The bride suddenly became worried that she was marrying her biological brother.

The mother-in-law, however, revealed she had also adopted a son after losing hope of finding her missing daughter.

The couple eventually completed the wedding ceremony.
