Mayor Honey to deliver 2nd SOCA on July 30

Vice Mayor Honey joins Manila Summer Pride — Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan is set to deliver her second State of the City Address (SOCA) on Tuesday afternoon, July 30, at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum Tent in Pasay City.

The Manila Public Information Office Head and Spokesperson Atty. Princess Abante said that all news and social media outlets are welcome to witness the event, which will also be livestreamed on the city’s social media accounts.

Abante also said they had to move the event to a bigger venue to accommodate around 1,000 guests.

Lacuna-Pangan is expected to present her administration's numerous accomplishments and plans for Manila.

Meanwhile, the mayor thanked and lauded President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 22, citing some of its aspects that coincide with her programs for the residents of Manila.

"The emphasis of the President on Public Employment Service Offices (PESO), 4Ps, and programs for seniors and persons with disability (PWDs) indeed mirror our goals and vision for all Manileños," the mayor said.

She said the president's pronouncements are aimed at strengthening the programs for marginalized sectors to improve the daily lives of every Filipino, Manileños included.

"We look forward to the corresponding national laws, national budget and an increase in the National Tax Allocation share of Manila, so that we can do more and carry out all our programs geared toward a Magnificent Manila in 2030," the lady mayor added.

“Maraming salamat, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, sa iyong mga pahayag sa SONA 2024 (Thank you very much, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, for your remarks on SONA 2024)," she said.
