QCPD impounds 198 motorcycles in 'one-time, big-time' ops
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) conducted a three-day "one-time, big-time" operations against unregistered and no plate number motorcycles from April 26 to 28.

Anti-criminality checkpoints were established throughout Quezon City by QCPD police officers in collaboration with Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) personnel who have been tasked to issue Official Violation Receipts (OVR) to the violators.
“Lahat ng iligal katulad nang paggamit ng motor na hindi rehistrado at walang plate number ay aming huhulihin lalo na sa mga walang lisensya. Responsable po tayo at sumunod sa batas trapiko,” QCPD director Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said.
The District Tactical Motorized Unit (DTMU) impounded 112 motorcycles; the District Traffic Enforcement Unit (DTEU), 17 motorcycles; and the District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU), 11 motorcycles.
Meanwhile, the police stations impounded 58 motorcycles.
Some motorcycles were returned to their owners upon payment of fines or submission of relevant documents for their vehicles.
Unclaimed motorcycles are under temporary custody of DTEU and DTMU.
