Jacob Cabochan joins Aksyon Demokratiko party, swears allegiance to Mayor Isko for 2022 elections
Caloocan community development advocate Jacob Cabochan on Monday pledged his allegiance to Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso after joining the Aksyon Demokratiko party.

Cabochan, along with Caloocan 2nd District Rep. Egay Erice, Caloocan City Councilors Alou Nubla, Christopher Malonzo, Alex Mangasar, Ricardo Bagus, and Russel Ramirez, took his oath as a member of the party now led by Domagoso.

Aksyon Demokratiko Chairperson Ernest Ramel said that Cabochan’s clean track record and advocacy is a perfect fit for the political party’s legislative agenda and political platform.
“Ang track record ni Cabochan sa larangan ng pag-aaral at negosyo ay patunay ng kanyang kakayahang magtagumpay sa mundo ng politika. Si Cabochan ay isang magna cum laude graduate ng Business Management mula sa Ateneo de Manila (ADMU). Nag-aral din siya ng Masters of Community Development sa University of the Philippines (UP) (Cabochan's track record in both education and business is more than enough proof of his capability to succeed in politics. Cabochan is a magna cum laude graduate of Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila. He also took Masters of Community Development at the University of the Philippines),” Ramel said.
Cabochan is the grandson of Gerry Cabochan, who served as representative of the 2nd District of Caloocan during the time of the late former President Corazon Aquino.
He is also the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Pandayan Bookshop, which was recognized by the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) during its 2017 Productivity Olympics.
Cabochan said that he wanted to share the culture of the bookshop to his fellow Filipinos which promotes kapwa-centered developments such as “pagpapakatao, pakikipagkapwa-tao, and pagkamakatao” towards self-reliance and civic consciousness, the same principles Aksyon Demokratiko is promoting.
“Wala dapat maiwanan sa pag-unlad ng lipunan, lalo na ‘ yung mga nasa laylayan (No one should be left behind in the development of the society, especially those who are impoverished)," he said.
During the ceremony, Domagoso said he was very honored and fortunate to take Aksyon’s lead in its bid to refresh the memories of the youth about Senator Raul Roco’s principled life.
“Welcome po kayo sa Aksyon (You are all welcome in Aksyon). We can work with anyone, as we have been showing in the City of Manila. Kalaban man o kakampi sa pulitika, kasama namin sa pamamahala (Whether you're an enemy or an ally in politics, let's all work together in bringing good governance)," Domagaso said.
