Only two weeks after an animal rescue center posted an adoption ad on Facebook, introducing Perdita and her death glare, the "world's worst cat" is now living with her new family in her forever home.
Perdita went viral last month after Mitchell County Animal Rescue in North Carolina ran a hilarious adaption ad on
"We thought she was sick, turns out she's just a jerk," the post read, adding that the fussy feline is "not for the faint of heart."
The transparent tactic has helped stubborn pets get adopted in the past, according to the rescue center's Executive Director Amber Lowery.
"We thought if we highlighted in a humorous way, the person with a personality to match hers can adopt," Lowery told CNN.
The approach was successful. The shelter said it has received over 175 applications.
The rescue center settled with couple Joe and Betty from Tennessee who have changed her name to Noel, "just in case the name Perdita is the cause of her anger."
