BUTUAN CITY -A registered nurse from this city is now in deep trouble for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Maj. Renel E. Serrano, chief of Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) told The Manila Bulletin on Saturday that suspect Daryl James K. Cagampang 33, a registered nurse, was apprehended on Wednesday night, January 8, by combined elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of Butuan City Police Office-Station 3.
The PRO 13 RPIO chief said the CIDG was implementing the search warrant issued by Judge Francis L. Rafil of MTCC 10th Judicial Region Branch 2 dated Jan. 8, 2020 for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
Seized during the operation were 10 sachets of suspected shabu, four disposable lighters, an improvised scoop, assorted drug paraphernalias; a caliber-.38 revolver with four bullets, and cash amounting to P4,870, Maj. Serrano said.
The suspect did not resist arrest when authorities implemented the search warrant in the said place.
According to PRO 13 and CIDG report, the suspect will also face charges on alleged violation of Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Currently, PRO 13 and CIDG is also conducting “Oplan Big Bertha (OLEA) and Oplan Paglalansag Omega” in Caraga region.
The suspect is now under the custody of CIDG RFU13 custodial facility for continuing proper documentation and disposition.
